Ella Meilianda is a Professor in Civil Engineering with a background in hydro-engineering spatial modelling, coastal processes and morphology, and geospatial analysis. She currently serves as Coordinator of the Disaster Risk Management Research Cluster and the head of the Disaster Spatial Laboratory at the Tsunami and Disaster Mitigation Research Center (TDMRC) of Syiah Kuala University. Formerly, she served as a Program Manager in TDMRC for seven years. She has been involved in several national and international research projects as the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator funded by PEER-USAID, the British Council’s Newton Fund, UKRI’s GCRF Equitable Resilience, Indonesian DRPM Ristekdikti, and RISPRO LPDP.
